But as long as our congress continues to make tax law more and more complicated that will certainly be the case. As long as the average wage earner’s return requires nearly twelve hours of effort people will be willing to pay an expert to have it done.
Polls have shown that the public thinks of accountants as ethical, competent and expensive and that they don’t pay enough attention to small clients.
